glimpses here and there of what I'm thinking

As I sit working in my New York apartment (a closet in any other city,) I just got done speaking with an old friend. Something they said made me remember, when I was in Chicago, and I had decided I wanted to move to New York, but it seemed impossible. I had graduated college, and worked at jobs I hated. I didn’t have the guts to move somewhere where I really only knew one or two people, didn’t have a plan and more importantly I didn’t have the money. Fast forward about two and half years later, I just got off the road with Cole and Rihanna, and before that went on a European tour with Cole and Drake, where I was able to perform in places I never even conceived of being or imagined I be, and before that we toured all over the states. I’ve gotten to see many things behind the scenes and learn, I’ve gotten to see my friend start his career as a somewhat unknown new signee to the Roc to being the most anticipated artist in the game right now. I say all this to say, for anybody with some sort of dreams or goals, even if you don’t have a plan, just take a step in a direction towards it. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it doesn’t have to be fool-proof, you just have to take a step towards it and soon the momentum of your decision will carry you. I’m a long way from where I plan to be but a lot closer than where I would’ve been if I hadn’t taken a some kind of step. I’m sure I could’ve and still could make it in Chicago, knowing what I know now. But, overall I just wrote this as I was reflecting and thought maybe someone out there right now, could gain something from this part of my story.
Once you decide what you want to do, just move in any direction that may get you there.
That’s half the battle.
